Anna Marie Culvey, Grove, OK, age 85, was born on April 6, 1924, in Harrah, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of George W. & Ollie Mae (Montgomery) Skorkowsky. She left this life on Sunday, February 28, 2010, in Grove, OK.

Anna Marie graduated as the Salutatorian of the Harrah High School Class of 1942 and attended Central State University. She married Everett S. Culvey on January 3, 1943, in Guthrie, OK. They spent the majority of their lives in Porter and Miami, OK, dairy farming. Their retirement years were spent fishing and relaxing on various lakes of Oklahoma, finally settling in Grove. Anna Marie was a devout Baptist and Sunday School teacher. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing with Everett, cooking, gardening and canning.

Anna Marie was preceded in death by one daughter, Evetta Ann, her parents, her husband, two brothers, Homer & Robert Skorkowsky.

Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Rose Marie & Dan Gurney, Paris, TX; 3 sons & daughters-in-law, Alan & Anna Culvey, Hugo, OK, Pat & Linda Culvey, Jay, OK, Mike Culvey, Hugo, OK; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, March 5, 2010, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK, with Rev. Gary Eubanks officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
