Marjorie Loraine Parker, Harrah, OK, age 77, was born on September 7, 1932, in Portland, Maine. She was the daughter of Allan & Elin (Andersson) Mercer. After courageously fighting a long term illness, she passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday, February 11, 2010, in Midwest City, OK.

Marjorie grew up in Cape Elizabeth, Maine and graduated from Cape Elizabeth High School. She was a housewife and a bookkeeper for many years until she retired. Marjorie enjoyed many different things in life, but what she enjoyed out of life was her family. Marjorie touched our lives with her smiles, hugs and with her gentle, kind nature. By the grace of God, may she bask in His glory and have eternal peace.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; 4 siblings, Janet Christopherson of Salt Lake City, Shirley Townsend of Green Acres, Florida, Mary Kesser of Portland, Maine and Allan Mercer of Boston, Massachusetts.

She leaves behind her devoted and loving husband of 52 years, Roy L. Parker; 3 sons & daughters-in-law, Mark Parker, Oklahoma City, OK, Mike & Carolyn Parker, Harrah, OK, Clay & Angie Parker, Del City, OK; daughter & son-in-law, Lee Ann & Dwight Duch, Forrest City, Arkansas; 1 brother, Chuck Mercer, Green Acres, Florida; 8 treasured grandchildren, Shana, Sabrina, Heather, Austin, Adam, Daniel, Blake and Logan; and 3 great-grandchildren, Isabella, Sophie and Olivia and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, February 15, 2010, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
