Flossie Lavina Bridges, long-time Wellston, Oklahoma, resident was born on August 30, 1927, in Wellston, Oklahoma, and departed this life on January 30, 2010, at her home at the age of 82 years.

Flossie was the daughter of Arthur D. and Luceal (Brown) Danker. She attended the Happy Hill School near Warwick, OK. Flossie married Alvin Bridges on April 8, 1947, in Reno, Nevada. She was a homemaker and worked at the Chandler Baseball Camp for many years. Flossie was a member of the Chandler Southern Baptist Church.

Her parents, husband, one brother, two sisters, and two grandchildren preceded Flossie in death.

Survivors include, three sons & daughter-in-law, Burton L. & Mary Bridges of Wellston, OK, Charles L. & Jane Bridges of Chandler, OK, Deveral D. & Robin Bridges of Chandler, OK, four sisters, Betty Morton of Skiatook, OK, Alice Patterson of Sparks, OK, Doris Burchett of Lexington, OK, Geneva Keef of Chandler, OK, one brother, Doyle Danker of Manhattan, KS, one sister-in-law, Carol Sue Helton, of Shawnee, OK, two brothers-in-law, Delroy Miller of Chandler, OK, Darrel Stephens of Dardanelle, AR, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at the Chandler Southern Baptist Church in Chandler, with Rev. Keith Henley officiating. Burial will follow at Star Valley Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
