Chandler, Oklahoma, resident Esther Skaley, was born on November 12, 1925, in Fredonia, North Dakota, and departed this life on January 13, 2010, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 84 years.
Esther was the daughter of Edward and Margaretha (Schneider) Blumhardt. She married Theadore Skaley on August 31, 1947, in Fredonia, North Dakota. Esther worked for a Veterinarian Supply Company for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chandler and the New Zion Extension Club.
Her parents, husband, four brothers and three sisters preceded Esther in death.
Survivors include, three sons, Rick Skaley of Chandler, OK, Ron Skaley of Greeley, CO, Bryon Skaley of Piedmont, OK, two daughters, Bonnie Beck of Chandler, OK, Patricia Johnson of Del City, OK, one brother, Harold Blumhardt of Ashley, ND, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 18, 2010, at the First Baptist Church in Chandler, with Rev. Rick Blackwell officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
