Tammy DeAnn (Schirf) Koelsch, Harrah, OK, age 35, was born on June 21, 1974, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was the daughter of Dean & Suzan (Russell) Schirf. She departed this life on Friday, January 8, 2010, in Harrah, OK.

Tammy graduated from Harrah High School in 1992 and from Rose State College in 1994. Throughout her life, Tammy fought a courageous and gallant battle against a myriad of health problems including cancer in 1995. Tammy's love for life and her fellow man were boundless and her beautiful smile could light up an entire room. Among her greatest joys was participating in family activities, her employment at Rose State College from 1992 to 2005, communicating with her many cherished friends, along with her support and empathy for those that were sick, especially other cancer patients. Her biggest disappointments came when her health limited or prevented her participation in carrying on with her greatest joys mentioned above. Her great faith in her Lord and Savior allowed her to continue forward to the very end.

Tammy is survived by her loving and caring husband, Jonathan Koelsch, of the home; her parents, Dean & Suzan Schirf, Harrah, OK; her brother, Trevor Schirf and his fiancée, Stacey Pifer, Oklahoma City, OK; grandmother, Vera Schirf, Wichita, KS; mother-in-law, Eileen Koelsch, Midwest City, OK; aunt, Pat Russell, Harrah, OK and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Cavett Kids Foundation, 1200 Everett Dr., Oklahoma City, OK 73104, to allow young cancer patients to attend and enjoy camping activities.

A wake service will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, January 15, 2010, at Smith-Parks Funeral Service, 2039 N. Tim Holt Dr., Harrah, OK. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 16, 2010, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
