Amanda Cecile Widmeier was born on Sept. 10, 1937, in Sulphur, OK, and departed this life on Monday, January 4, 2010, in Oklahoma City, OK, at the age of 72.
Amanda, the daughter of Halbert C. and Amanda Leota (Pilcher) Ballinger, was a resident of Chandler, OK. She married Francis J. “Frank” Widmeier on Sept. 25, 1954, in Madill, OK. Amanda worked as a bank auditor for many years. She and Frank lived in South Spain for three years and numerous cities around the country during his carrier in the United States Navy.
Her parents and one brother preceded Amanda in death. Survivors include, three daughters, Amanda Widmeier of Baton Rouge, LA, Cynthia Davila of Stillwater, OK, Michelle Legg of Stillwater, OK, one sister, Joann Dicky of Edmond, OK. 2 grandchildren
7 great-grandchildren. other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Friday, Jan. 8th, 2010, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler with Rev. Rick Blackwell officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
