Vernon Stanley Harper was born on July, 4, 1938, in Bell, California, and departed this life on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 71.
Vernon, the son of Vernon Harvey and Lillian May (Allard) Harper, was a resident of Lincoln County. He was of the Christian faith and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Vernon worked as a painter journeyman for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jeanne Glenn.
Survivors include brother and sister-in-law, James and Pamela Harper of OR; relatives, John, Aya, and Jesse Glenn of Prague, Walter Christensen family of OK, Glenn family of CA; son, Wesley Harper of CA; grandson, Devon Harper of CA; daughter, Darla Edwards of OR; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
